Having successfully achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold status Eclipse are now in their third year of the Continuing Excellence stage of the Better Health at Work Award, and were delighted to accept a special Award of “Ambassador status” at the Better Health at Work Awards Event held at the Holiday Inn, Seaton Burn on Friday 3rd March 2017.

Steven Chater, the Health Improvement Practitioner Specialist from Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, who supports Eclipse through their Better Health at Work journey explained that he was able to nominate one company from Northumberland who had already successfully completed two years of Continuing Excellence and who he felt demonstrated all of the aims and goals of the Award.  The final say on whether his nomination is accepted is decided by the Northern TUC and they were pleased to agree with Steven, congratulating Eclipse on their ongoing commitment and outstanding practice around workplace health and wellbeing, not only achieving but consistently going above and beyond at every stage of the process.

Susan Bathgate, the Eclipse Better Health at Work Advocate was invited on stage by Anna Foster of BBC Radio Newcastle and asked to describe one of her successful initiatives, the “Walk, Talk & Picnic”.  The Award was presented by Beth Farhat of Northern TUC who warmly congratulated Susan and her colleagues for this fantastic achievement.
