Our company has continued to grow both organically and by acquisition and from a small team of like-minded professionals we have become a key supplier to some of the world's best companies. The following shows some of our key milestones along the way.


Business starts to operate in The Netherlands providing technical translation and technical authoring in Dutch.


Business relocates to the UK and Eclipse Translations Limited is registered in the UK. The name reflects the expanding range of languages and services the company is starting to provide. The business operates from a small office in Alnwick town centre.


Eclipse becomes registered to ISO 9001 reflecting our commitment to quality from a very early stage.


Eclipse outgrows its town centre offices and relocates to larger office space at Lee Moor Business Park and continues to expand.


Eclipse becomes an accredited Investor in People (IIP) demonstrating its commitment to developing our staff and our business.


The company continues to expand and constructs its own purpose-built offices in Alnwick to house its expanding team.


Eclipse acquires Marilyn Potts International Language Consultants based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This acquisition adds interpreting and language training services to the core translation business.


Eclipse acquires Stockton-based The Language Service Ltd, a former in-house service of ICI Chemicals & Polymers. This extends Eclipse's resources and in-house expertise in the chemical and life sciences sector.


Eclipse is acquired by RWS and continues to operate as a Limited company within this highly successful and respected Group. The acquisition brings a number of key synergies and benefits to Eclipse stakeholders.


Eclipse wins the North East Business Awards for Service.


Eclipse is runner up in the National Chamber Awards in the Customer Service Category.


RWS Group wins the Queens Award for Export for the fourth time.


Eclipse incorporates Susie Kershaw Associates interpreting business into its existing interpreting service. This move further enhances its conference and corporate interpreting capabilities.
